At Chess Construction Ltd we value your privacy. Chess Construction Ltd aim to be completely compliant with the new GDPR legislation, designed to give consumers and individuals better legal privacy protection and a greater control over how companies store & use their data.

What data do we collect?

Firstly, most websites, including ours uses cookies. These are small pieces of code stored on your computer which interact with various data tracking tools. We currently use Google Analytics, you can read their privacy statement in the links below. Google Analytics stores cookies on your users’ PCs to keep track of usage data. This is enough to evoke the requirement of a Privacy Policy according to the EU Cookies Directive.

The EU’s GDPR also requires a Privacy Policy when usage data is collected, such as through cookies.
These do not collect your name or other personal details but do allow us to collect website usage data as interpreted by third party services.

Our forms

When you fill out a form on this website, you will have to fill in details like name address, and postcode and email address. We only use these details to contact you back, and occasionally through email tools, to send you promotional materials by email that we feel you may find of interest.  By filling out any online forms on this website, you agree to receive promotional and marketing materials.  We will never pass your details to third parties except the three companies in the Chess Group: Chess Construction (us) Kingsway Products, our bathroom sanitary ware in-house partner, and Air3, a commercial construction firm. The only time we may pass these details to these companies is out of a need to complete your project to your satisfaction by alerting you to some of the service companies in our group offers.

If we ever email you promotional or marketing emails, there will always be a clear unsubscribe link.

Right to be forgotten

You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. If you want your data to be removed from our systems, please write to us using the address on the contact page.

Please note that for legal purposes, if you have contracted us to do work, we must keep records of the work for at least 6 years and may have to contact you about the work even if you have unsubscribed from our marketing emails. This will take the form of a phone call or personal email.
